The Financial Services Information Sharing and Analysis Center (FS-ISAC) is designed, developed and owned by the financial services industry including Banks, Card companies, Payment and Clearing Processors, Brokerage Firms, Insurance companies and Credit Unions. It is a non-profit, private sector initiative. It was established by the financial services industry to facilitate the sharing of information between the public and private sectors on the physical and cyber security threats to the nation's critical infrastructure. Membership is recommended by the U.S. Department of the Treasury, the Office of the Controller of Currency, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), the United States Secret Service, and the Financial Services Sector Coordinating Council. Member organizations, which include the nation's largest financial services firms, have access to reliable, timely information from their financial services peers, providers, commercial security firms, federal, state and local government agencies, law enforcement and other trusted resources to protect the integrity of their information and infrastructure.
